New Online Clinical Trigger Point Therapy Program
Coming Soon!
I wanted to update
everyone on the status of our
60-hour Clinical Trigger Point Therapy
Program.
I am currently not teaching a program in the second
half of 2010, as we are putting all our available
time towards creating an online version of this
program. Much of the content for this new program
(Clinical Trigger Point Therapy Program 2.0) has
been completed, and we are in the process of making
it available online for healthcare practitioners
worldwide.
We decided to reorganize
the program and take it online for a couple
reasons:
-
First, and foremost, we want to make the
invaluable work of Dr. Travell and Dr. Simons
available to everyone at any time, not just
those therapists in our immediate
vicinity.
-
Second, we want to make this unique educational
experience more affordable for healthcare
practitioners. By taking the program online we
will be able to significantly reduce our costs
(rent, copying costs, etc) entailed in providing
this program, and thus be able to pass on those
savings to the program participants.
-
Third, we think the videos and other materials
provided in the online program will serve as an
excellent ongoing clinical reference for those
practicing Trigger Point Therapy. The instruction
in this online program is very detailed and has
been organized in a manner to make it easy to
review the techniques and protocols
taught.
-
Lastly, we wanted to take this opportunity to
improve the Clinical Program itself. We have
learned a great deal in both practicing and
teaching Clinical Trigger Point Therapy over the
last few years, and we finally got a chance to
update and improve the program. Additionally, the
way that we have designed the new program will
make it much easier to update it in the
future.
I will still teach
classes in Clinical Trigger Point Therapy, but
these classes will be an adjunct to the online
program. To be certified by us in Clinical Trigger
Point Therapy you will still be required to
participate in hands-on instruction and testing,
but the amount of hands-on classes required will be
reduced to just those classes that teach physical
skills. This new format will also allow us to
provide hands-on classes on the weekends, making it
easier for people to attend these classes from
around the country. We may even take our classes
"on the road" to location near you in the future.
We hope that this new online program will be a
"win-win" for everybody involved, and provide the
flexibility needed to expand the practice of
Trigger Point Therapy to everyone that needs it.
Stay tuned to the new blog for more updates on this
program in the Fall.
Thank you for your interest,
Dr. Laura Perry
